Two Pakistani startups have been finalized as part of the top 100 companies that will be showcasing their ideas at The NewEnergy Global Startup Festival in Astana, Kazakhstan on October 27, 2016. Wattie and SavCon Energy have been selected from a pool of 780 applicants from 55 countries that had applied to the festival.
Wattie is an energy startup that claims to deliver a household’s electricity consumption analytics directly to a customer’s smartphone through a smart device whereas Savcon offers an energy efficient water-heater that incorporates improved technology to minimize energy consumption.
The companies will present their ideas to an experts panel which will then shortlist 30 of the most promising startups. They will in turn get an opportunity to present their businesses at the Astana Expo 2017 which is a prime event in the field of energy efficiency. They will not only get a chance to meet with investors, industry experts and network with people in the field but also get international press coverage for their ideas.
The NewEnergy Festival aims to bring together the best minds and ideas in the fields of climate and ecology, smart cities and sustainable infrastructure, rational and efficient use of water resources, and new production technologies and methods.
