MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Pakistan is organizing a two-week-long summer entrepreneurship bootcamp starting from July 2.
The registration drive for the bootcamp, to be held at the Information Technology University in Lahore, will end on June 20 (tomorrow). Applicants can sign up for the bootcamp through the online form.
In a statement, the MITEF Pakistan said that the purpose of the bootcamp was to provide an opportunity for ‘passion-driven youngsters aged 16 to 23 years to refine their entrepreneurial skills, to build on their business ideas, and convert their dreams into a reality’. The bootcamp would feature trainings on product ideation, design thinking, team building and business development.The statement said participants for the two-week program will be chosen based on the quality of their application and the viability of their business idea. Once shortlisting is done, the participants will be divided in teams based on their business ideas.
MITEF Pakistan program manager Areej Mehdi was quoted in the statement as saying, “MITEFP programs are dedicated towards stimulating and engaging all stakeholders and the programs designed for the youth remains one of our main targets.”
She added, “The believes that potential entrepreneurs, particularly youngsters are the core engine of economic growth and they can reach their full potential only through exposure to such programs.”
MITEF Pakistan is one of the 28 international chapters of MIT Enterprise Forum. Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a research facility housed at ITU that facilitates and promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through research, workshops and trainings.
