The 5th Round Table Conference on Information Technology will be held under the auspices of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s TechHub Connect project today (Monday).
Information Technology University (ITU) vice chancellor and PITB Chairman Dr. Umar Saif will open the event at Arfa Software Technology Park.
The conference is a bi-annual event organised to provide a platform to leaders from government, industry and academia for a discourse on issues pertinent to the IT industry of the country and to bring together the IT fraternity under one roof.
This exercise will outline a roadmap for the progress of the IT industry in the Punjab. The focus of this moot will be on devising special economic zones for the IT industry of Pakistan. The PITB and Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) shall work with the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on the agenda.
Cybersecurity will also be discussed at the conference.
The PITB shall announce major steps which could be taken in the coming year to deal with threats to cyberspace.
